Accreditation: OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations)
Course: CPC for Transport Managers.
Information:
There are 4 set examination days in each year, March, June, September
and December. Exams can only be taken at OCR approved examination centres.
CPC for Transport Managers is split into National and International. To
hold International CPC candidate must also have National. Exams are either
for Freight related or Passenger qualification type. It is not possible
to teach both at the same time. Freight is usually the priority choice.
Exams include a multi choice written element and a case study. National
and International examinations are held on the same day and candidates
can take them both in one sitting. Examinations are held locally in Hendon.

Course: Young Driver Scheme
Information:
The LGV Young Driver scheme is managed by Skills for Logistics on behalf
of The Department of Transport. The scheme provides the opportunity for
a young person to obtain a full category C licence at the age of 18 rather
than 21 and a category C+E licence by his or her 21st birthday. Registered
young drivers follow a structured training program leading to an NVQ Level
2 in Driving Goods Vehicles. In addition their LGV driving skills are
regularly assessed.
Stages:
- The young person is recruited or selected by the company and induction
training is given
- Pre Driving units of the NVQ achieved
- Application (through Skills for Logistics) for provisional Category
C licence
- Driver Training
- Pass test and gain licence
- Receive 4 satisfactory driving assessments within the six months following
test pass
- Complete NVQ
- Young Driver Scheme certificate issued after stages 1-5 completed
successfully
Course: CSCS (Site Safety Awareness)
Information: The CITB Construction Skills health and safety test is the
industry standard, taken by over 300,000 people each year. It is designed
to ensure that everyone working in construction has the minimum level
of health and safety awareness. Passing the test is an essential part
of qualifying for the major card schemes. Without the right card it is
increasingly difficult to get on site. The course is up five days , Depending
on your knowledge. with your test on the final day.
Accreditation: NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme)
Courses: Reach and Counterbalance Forklift. Telehandler.
Rough Terrain Side Loader.
Information:
Novice courses for Reach and Counterbalance Forklift are 5 days long with
your test on the final day. We also run refresher courses (dependant on
licence held and previous experience). All successful trainees receive
a licence recognised throughout the EEC and are registered with the National
Plant Operators Registration Scheme.

Courses: SVQ Level 2 in Driving Goods Vehicles
SVQ Level 2 in Carry and Deliver Goods
Information:
SVQ’s tell you exactly what you need to do within your job to do
it well. This means that if you have an SVQ you can prove that you can
do your job to National standards. The qualification is achieved through
assessment of each module by one of our assessors. Upon successful completion
of all modules the SVQ is achieved.
